We talked earlier about big dogs that don’t shed. It’s equally important to talk about small dogs that don’t shed. You could be living in an apartment where there is not enough space, but you are interested in bringing home a furry friend. So you could get your hands on a small dog breed that does not shed.
The truth is that there aren’t any dog breeds that do not shed at all. While some dog breeds shed more than others, some others have easy-to-groom short hair. This often creates the impression that they shed less than others. This gives you an immense amount of satisfaction that you do not need to clean often.
If you don’t have time for that, these are the dog breeds that you should choose from (I must tell you that there are some others that don’t shed either but I can’t mention all of them here).
Poodle (Miniature) is a perfect small dog family. He looks cute and is extremely friendly. He gets easily attached to the entire family. You need to know that he is very friendly with kids. If you have little children, a Poodle can be a great companion to them. You need to brush and groom his coat quite often.
Maltese is another small dog breed that doesn’t shed much. Yes, it might be very hard to believe but it is true. He is extremely loyal, friendly, and lively. He can bring a lot of joy in your house and change your lifestyle completely. As about grooming, his coat needs to be brushed almost every day so that he keeps looking his sweet self.
Bichon Frise is another dog breed that I love. It is a very common small dog breed preferred by most dog owners. They are cheerful and sociable and get easily attached to their human family. Since they don’t shed too much, you can afford to keep them inside your house. His coat needs regular grooming and brushing.
These are the three main small dogs that don’t shed much. It doesn’t mean that there aren’t other dog breeds that shed less than them. If you own or you know about other small dogs that don’t shed, please let us know.
