Thousands of homeless dogs roam the streets of Los Angeles every day and Hope for Paws aims to end that one day.
In this video, one scared homeless dog learns to trust and love thanks to his rescuers!
Without a warm home and loving owners to care for him and teach him about love, stray dogs become aloof and scared of the world. They are forced to live their lives in fear struggling to survive.
The Hope for Paws rescue team got a call about a dog living in an industrial lot and immediately went to the area to rescue the pup-in-need. Rescuing a small dog in such a huge property was hard. Eldad and his team had to keep a sharp eye out to keep up with the dog’s movements.
The poor pup was understandably terrified of people and did his best to elude their rescue attempts.
After a chase, the pooch eventually curled up to rest in a patch of ivy, it was clearly apparent how terrified the poor dog was.
Luckily, the Hope for Paws team know how to work their magic. With a lot of patience, gentleness and kindness, they were finally able to put the Lucky Leash around the dog’s neck. Eldad managed to pet the dog, securing him and assuring that everything would be fine.
While carrying the dog, Eldad found out that the he is a boy and named him Hendrix.
The rescuers wrapped a blanket around the little boy and took him to the vet and then the groomer. Just two hours after his rescue, Hendrix had transformed from a scared, dirty dog into the handsome and sweet pooch he was born to be.
He was then taken to his loving new foster mom.
Only days after his rescue, Hendrix’s beauty – both inside and out – is clear. From terrified to a bonafide fluff ball of joy, Hendrix captured everyone’s heart.

Happy Tails, Hendrix!
