Another day, another dog to save!
In this video, Hope for Paws rescues a scared Poodle dog from underneath a house.
Eldad Hagar and Lisa Chiarelli received a call from Chynna Arias about a stray Poodle who had been living in their neighborhood for five months. The poor dog was so terrified he would not let anybody near him.
His rescuers named him Scotty and they crawled under the house where the pooch was hiding. It was not an easy task. Eldad and Lisa had almost no space to move in and Scotty kept retreating in the narrowest places he could find.
With little to no human interaction for months, it is understandable why the Poodle growled at his rescuers. When Lisa tried to reach him with a snare, the pooch found an opening from which he could evade her. It was so small Eldad and Lisa could only see the terrified pup using a camera.
Luckily, Eldad found something they could use to partially open Scotty’s hideout. Then, Eldad was able to grab the Poodle’s tail.
Scared for his life, Scotty desperately tried to crawl out of his hideout allowing Lisa to catch him with the snare.
The Poodle panicked and bit Eldad’s leg in an effort to get away.
After a few minutes, Scotty slowly began to calm down. He eventually relaxed and lay down, and Eldad and Lisa were able to put the Lucky Leash around his neck.
The Poodle turned out to be a sweetheart and soon he was more than willing to lap up all the love he could. He may have bitten Eldad earlier but he proved he didn’t mean it, by refusing to bite the rescuer’s finger even when he put it in his mouth.
Scotty was brought to Hope for Paw’s HQ, where he had a nice bath. He also had his matted fur removed!
The next day, Scotty looked and felt like a completely different dog!
The adorable little Poodle squirmed and ran around a lot! He likes his rescuers so much he squirms around happily to get attention.
After he was neutered, he was welcomed into Lisa’s home, where he’ll be in foster care together with the other Hope for Paws dogs Frankie and Lola.
See this fun-loving dog invite Frankie to play! The tandem is really one of the cutest!
Scotty also loves Lola and cannot help but show it. The Poodle just loves giving the Pit Bull lots of love, licks, and kisses.
